Presenter: Bill Browning, Partner, Terrapin Bright Green: New Directions in Green Development

People who work, learn, play, shop, heal or simply visit green buildings are all in agreement: green design makes for better spaces and happier, healthier people. But how do we translate this to the bottom line or more importantly, to tenants, buyers, shoppers, and the general public. From his extensive experience n commercial real estate development and management, Bill Browning will explain the importance and value of productivity in Green commercial spaces.

Bill Browning is one of the green building and real estate industry’s foremost thinkers and strategists, and an advocate for sustainable design solutions at all levels of business, government and civil society. His expertise as been sought out by organizations as diverse as fortune 500 companies, leading universities, nonprofit organizations, the U.S. military and foreign governments. Browning is a founding partner of Terrapin Bright Green LC, a green think tank and consulting firm committed o making a difference by crafting environmental
performance strategies for governments, corporations and large-scale developments.  A senior fellow of the Rocky Mountain Institute, he received the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership Award in 2004.

The Transformational Lecture Series aims to inspire all building industry professionals to embrace their role in creating a sustainable built environment now, as well as ensuring that sustainability becomes integral to all development in the future. 

Doors open at 5:00pm, lecture starts at 5:30pm.
